vJoy setup guides for flight, space, truck and racing simulators.
Use a GameCube Controller via vJoy: Adapters, Feeders and Honest Limits Searches for a GameCube controller on PC often assume a single driver will do the whole job. The vJoy reality is more specific, and understanding it first will save you a frustrating afternoon. vJoy is a virtual joystick driver for DirectInput. It does not…
vJoy for IL-2 Sturmovik: Solving the Device Limit by Merging IL-2 Sturmovik players run into a counting problem. A warbird cockpit wants a stick, a throttle quadrant with several levers, rudder pedals, perhaps a button box — and the simulator’s willingness to juggle many separate controllers becomes the bottleneck long before the pilot runs out…
vJoy for Assetto Corsa: DIY Handbrake, Extra Axes and Combined Devices Assetto Corsa drivers meet vJoy from the workbench side of sim racing. The typical project is a DIY handbrake — a lever, a load cell or a converted control — that needs to appear in the game as an analogue axis. Or it is…
vJoy for American Truck Simulator: FreePIE Virtual Steering, Honestly Framed The honest starting point for American Truck Simulator is identical to its European sibling: ATS has native mouse steering, and vJoy is not required to steer with a mouse. The game offers mouse steering on its own, and a player who wants only that should…
vJoy for Euro Truck Simulator 2: When It Helps — and When It Does Not Start with the plain fact, because too many guides skip it: Euro Truck Simulator 2 has native mouse steering, and vJoy is not required to use it. You can open ETS2, choose mouse steering in the game, and steer with…
vJoy for Elite Dangerous: HOTAS Merging with Joystick Gremlin Elite Dangerous is a natural fit for a HOTAS — hands on throttle and stick — and also a game where a pilot’s hardware often grows piece by piece. A stick comes first, then a separate throttle, then pedals or a button panel. Each addition is…
vJoy for Microsoft Flight Simulator: Extra Axes and Buttons Microsoft Flight Simulator — MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 — already supports a wide range of yokes, sticks and throttles directly. So why add vJoy? Most readers arrive for one of three reasons: they need extra axes or buttons beyond what a single physical device offers,…
vJoy for Star Citizen: HOSAS with Joystick Gremlin and HidHide Star Citizen is the game where twin sticks — a HOSAS setup, hands on stick and stick — make the strongest case for vJoy. One stick handles pitch, roll and yaw for the ship’s nose. The other handles strafe: up, down, left, right and forward…
vJoy for DCS World: Merge Stick, Throttle and Pedals into One Device DCS World rewards precise, layered controls, but many cockpits are built from separate USB devices: one stick, one throttle, a set of rudder pedals, and perhaps a button box. Each device arrives in Windows as its own controller, with its own axis order…
